Verve Culture Molcajete with Tortilla Basket Curing Instructions:

• Rinse the molcajete with water (or soak overnight)
• Clean with a wire brush
• Place plenty of rice to cover the bottom
• Pour in a tablespoon of water and use the pestle to work the rice around the surface
• A grey paste should form
• Rinse out the paste and repeat the grinding until it’s no longer grey
• Optional: repeat with garlic, onion, cumin seeds, cilantro, or others to add flavor
