Inspired by Japanese cutlery, the Wusthof Gourmet 7″ Santoku Knife has a thinner blade than a traditional cook’s knife with a 10° cutting edge. The thinner blade is better for precision cutting or when you need very thin cuts or slices. The Santoku Knife is ideal for chopping, slicing & dicing vegetables but can be used for meats & fruits as well. The hollow edge blade also features vertical indentations on the blade which creates an air pocket between the blade & food to reduce friction & drag when slicing. As the 2nd most used knife in the kitchen, the Wusthof 3.5″ Paring Knife is tailored for the smaller kitchen tasks when a standard cook’s knife may be too large for the job at hand. The narrow blade & pointed tip design of the paring knife make it easy to peel garlic cloves, mince shallots, trim herbs or other intricate cutting. The straight edge blade cuts smoothly through different cuts of meats, denser vegetables or fruits. The forged blade is constructed of high-carbon, stain-resistant steel & is triple-riveted to the black synthetic handle.
